DESCRIPTION: This three-day training is designed for gender-based violence (GBV) preventionists and advocates seeking to deepen their understanding of the connections between systemic oppression, interpersonal violence, and prevention sustainability. Through a combination of virtual learning sessions and an immersive in-person experience, participants will explore how violence operates across multiple levels of society and how these dynamics influence both survivors and prevention work.\nDay 1: Zoom, 11am - 2:00pm\nFocuses on systems-level violence and oppression, examining how historical and contemporary inequities, structural\n violence, and social conditions contribute to and shape interpersonal violence, as well as influence the ways survivors are supported, served, and responded to within community systems and institutions. Participants will explore how broader social, political, and organizational contexts impact survivor experiences and access to safety, healing, and resources.\n\nDay 2: Zoom, 11am - 2:00pm\nExplores the impacts of these systems on individuals, including how trauma, oppression, and survival experiences are embodied and influence survivor and provider well-being and relationships. Participants will also examine the power of collective healing and connection as protective factors, recognizing how resilience is strengthened through community, shared meaning-making, and mutual support. The session highlights how fostering belonging and collective care can support individual wellness while strengthening the sustainability and impact of prevention efforts.\n\nDay 3: In Person, July 24th\nIs a full-day experiential workshop that integrates learning from the previous sessions. Participants will engage in reflective and interactive activities designed to strengthen practices of collective resilience, support holistic survivor-centered prevention approaches, and cultivate practices that promote personal and organizational sustainability in GBV prevention work.\nLOCATION:\nDays 1 and 2 will be via Zoom - link will be sent to registered participants prior to our first session.\nDay 3 will be in person at Tukwila Community Center, 12424 42nd Ave S, Tukwila, WA 98168\nWHO: This meeting is open to advocates, prevention educators, therapists, community organizers, your preventionist aunties, and other providers from adjacent systems interested in this intersection. \nRegistration Required for each day.\nAccommodations: ASL interpreters available upon request. \n\n\nFor details, click here: https://endgv.secure.nonprofitsoapbox.com/ecologyofresilience2026
