This event is co-hosted by the Coalition Ending Gender-Based Violence, the City of Seattle Human Services Department, the King County Department of Community and Human Services, and Harborview Medical Center.

Housing System navigators, advocates, and case managers are encouraged to attend!

Light refreshments will be provided. ASL Interpreters will be present.

Join us for our second annual in-person gathering! This group aims to include a wide range of perspectives from housing providers, GBV community-based and sytems advocates, funders, and other adjacent systems in order to better meet the needs of survivors who are homeless or experiencing housing instability.

Come build relationships, share resources, and work together to make recommendations about how to holistically support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking.

Our Focus: Housing First.

What is Housing First? How to apply Housing First principles to our work? How to navigate the challenges of housing and homelessness work while upholding these principles?

Our Guests:

• The King County Resource Access Team will be walking us through how they can connect you and survivors/clients to resources, navigate services, and bridge short-term financial gaps.
• Sarah Kendall, from Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, will cover Housing First foundations, specificially Domestic Violence Housing First.
• Housing First panelists will discuss their experiences applying these principles: from the benefits to the challenges.

We'll hold time towards the end of the program to discuss applying Housing First principles to our work, share resources and knowledge, and, perhaps most importantly, build connections and relationships with other members of our communities doing the work.
